Panel Upgrade
We replaced the home’s main electrical panel with a new, upgraded panel designed to provide greater capacity, improved reliability, and enhanced electrical safety. The new panel is better equipped to meet the home’s current power demands while providing room for future electrical additions and upgrades.
Light Switch Replacements
Two outdated light switches were replaced to improve functionality and safety. We removed the existing standard bathroom switch and three-way hallway switch, installed new switches, verified proper wiring connections, and conducted tests to ensure both lighting circuits operate reliably.
Dryer Outlet Installation
In order to accommodate a new dryer, we installed a Nemo 14–30 R receptacle for a laundry application operating at 240 V. This setup ensures safe and efficient power delivery to the appliance, resolving the issue of inadequate electrical supply for the dryer. The installation was completed with precision to meet the required specifications.
Switch & Outlet
Outdated receptacles were causing concerns, so we replaced the washing machine and dryer outlets. A new 30 amp three-prong dryer outlet and a 20 amp GFCI receptacle were installed in their current locations. After installation, we thoroughly tested both outlets to ensure they were functioning properly and safely.
Replacement Of Chandelier
The existing chandelier in the dining room needed replacement, so we carefully removed it and evaluated the wiring to ensure it was safe and functional. After installing the new light fixture selected by the homeowner, we tested everything to confirm proper operation. Any drywall damage from the removal will require a professional to patch and paint.
Diagnostic Service
An outlet had stopped working, prompting us to arrive for diagnosis. After troubleshooting, we identified a wiring issue and completed a minor repair on the spot. This restored functionality to the outlet, ensuring it was safe and operational.
Diagnostic Service
We assessed a three-way light switch in the basement that exhibited significant arcing and crackling noises. After evaluating the wiring for any issues, we installed a new three-way switch and conducted thorough testing. Everything is functioning properly now, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
Garage Outlet Upgrade & Dedicated Circuits Installation
Upgraded the garage electrical setup by installing two new dedicated outlets to better support the homeowner’s needs. We corrected existing wiring so the garage lights now operate independently from the garage door openers, improving both safety and functionality. New wiring was run from the main panel to provide reliable power to a workbench outlet and a dedicated outlet for a relocated refrigerator, each on its own 20-amp circuit. All work was completed to code and fully tested to ensure safe, dependable operation.
What West Springfield homeowners are saying
A 5★ average rating from 3 verified reviews.
I can’t say enough good things about Sarah & Family Electric Services. From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, timely, and genuinely kind, exactly the kind of experience you hope for when working with a small family-owned business. Ryan installed a dedicated 50-amp exterior generator inlet along with the breaker, mechanical interlock, wiring, labeling, and gave me a detailed demonstration of how it works. What really earned the five stars, though, was the customer service. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. They showed up when they said they would, kept us informed, answered our questions, and treated our home and family with genuine courtesy and respect. It’s refreshing to work with a family business that clearly takes pride not only in the quality of its work, but also in how it treats its customers. We would absolutely use Sarah and Family Electric Services again and recommend them without hesitation.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Will happily hire them again for future work! We needed some new outlets in our garage, diagnosing a few questions on what outlets/switches worked together (was inconsistent at best, prior to Ryan addressing it all), and base lining previous work done in our garage by old owners. Ryan was incredibly thorough when he came out initially to look over the job and to provide an accurate estimate. Scheduling was simple, and on the day of work, kept me updated on his arrival time. Once he showed up, we discussed the job and he confirmed everything - as well as checked in on me throughout the work if I had any questions. I've never had an electrician leave a job site cleaner than when they started - he cleaned up everything and more! If you're looking for a family-owned business that knows their stuff, takes pride in their work quality, and is competitive on pricing - then you should definitely stop reading this review and message them. A++
